The Golden Viking (Then)

My short and undistinguished career in the W.W.A. was from early 1975 to the Fall of 1977 with the majority of my matches taking place in 1975 and early 1976. I was 6'9" and they announced my weight at 350 (my actual weight at the time was really 320) and I was usually matched up against Yukon Moose Cholak or the Big Whiz. I also remember working some matches with Sailor Art Thomas and Dr. Big Bill Miller.

John Davis, who was the legendary W.W.A. wrestler/manager Handsome Johnny Starr recently made the following statement:
"Greg Limbach, better known as The Golden Viking, was a really good friend before I got into the wrestling business. After I got established I trained him. We have recently renewed our friendship after about 15 years of not seeing each other. It has been really great seeing him again."

I'd like to add that it has been great seeing John again also!

The Golden Viking (Now)

Today the former Golden Viking spends his leisure time in much calmer pursuits. While I can be found at times on a lake with a fishing pole in my hands (usually using lures that I have made). At other times I might be caught leatherworking, or reloading ammo for Western Action Shooting. And in the past couple of years I have become a BIG fan of Rockabilly Hall of Famer, Narvel Felts. However the things that occupy the majority of my free time are participating in Living History Events, and bowling during the Winter with some friends.

I have been quite active the past 26 years as a competitive shooter of muzzleloading and pre-1900 firearms. And I have been a part of several Living History reenactments and demonstrations during that time. Also, I am the webmaster for two Living History groups I'm associated with,The Great Lakes Freight & Mining Co., and The National Congress of Old West Shootists (NCOWS).

I also have posted a site for the Reunions of "THE Main Studs", University of Indianapolis Baseball Players from 1971-76. The Main Studs Baseball Reunions

During the colder months of the year a group of "malcontents" led by Lord Jer leave the area golf courses and take to bowling alleys to satisfy their beer drinking and wagering cravings. I act as both the Accounting and IT departments for the group, and our web site is located here:
