John and I met in the Fall of 1969 when a mutual friend of ours, Mark Wheeler, got a group of us together to attend a wrestling match at the State Fairgrounds Coliseum. John and I have been friends ever since.

John began wrestling in Kentucky while attending college. He moved up to the WWA as a wrestler and then took on the additional role of manager to Ox Baker, the Legionnaires and others. John's wrestling career extended well into the 1980s.

	Unfortunately after the Bruiser got up Handsome Johnny went down.
